Government think tanks and automobile industry experts estimate that over 10 million passenger and 1 million commercial electric vans and cars will be sold over the next 15 years. With all vehicles being electric by 2050.

Managing Your Business Doesn’t Have to Be Hard.

The government sees this as a massive part to the UK reaching its goal of meeting a worldwide climate change target. The British government has committed to reduce the conventional fuel demand by 80% and car emissions by 75%, saving the country in excess of £15 billion p.a. in fuel costs by 2030.

The government has also announced a long term extension to the plug in grant by injecting £400 million into the industry.

As of today there are 75,000 electric cars and vans in the UK with only 11,500 charging stations. The government’s push is to have 2 electric charging stations for every vehicle.

Charging your car will become common practice just like charging your mobile phone.

Petrol pence per mile 12p vs. Electric pence per mile 2p

Charging your car or van at home is the simplest, easiest, cheapest and most popular way to charge your vehicle. While offering a slow charge rate under 3 kW using a 3pin plug supplied with most electric cars, a completely depleted battery will take 6-8 ours to fully charge, longer for models with larger batteries.

A more efficient and preferable method is to have a charge point installed on the outside of your house, driveway or garage. These offer a charge time of 3-4hours for a fully depleted battery using a 7 kW charge point.
